The Pantry at Rush Farm, Stock Wood, Worcestershire

Stock Wood, Inkberrow, Worcestershire, B96 6SX

The Pantry mills flour on the premises. It is the farm shop and café at Rush Farm, Stock Wood near Inkberrow in Worcestershire, selling the beef and lamb raised in the fields outside. A small stone mill takes locally grown grain and turns it into freshly milled flour. Alongside it sits the farm's own beef, lamb and hogget, organic fruit and vegetables, bread and pastries from Peter Cooks Bread in Worcester, and enough store cupboard staples to do a proper shop without going near a supermarket. The farm's own beef and lamb are pasture fed, and Rush Farm is Pasture for Life certified. The farm behind it is Demeter certified, so the beef and lamb on the counter come from fields you could walk to. The café side is small, doing breakfast baps, porridge, cakes and simple lunches. Dogs welcome. If there are more than four of you, ring ahead. The veg box scheme runs for around twenty-two weeks from mid-May to October. Small boxes are at least six items, large at least nine, collected from The Pantry or from the Elmfield School Café in Stourbridge. The Pantry opens Wednesday to Saturday only. Check before you set off.
