We are a small family farming business based at two small farms - one in Boreham Street, near Hailsham (Hockham Farm) on the edge of the High Weald National Landscape and at Modern Barn Farm in Ninfield. We produce pasture raised beef and lamb and sell the majority of our meat direct to local consumers in boxes via our website and at our monthly farm gate sales at Hockham Farm, where my sister and brother-in-law also sell their award winning Pevensey Blue cheese (also made on the farm). In addition to farming with my parents Monica and Fred, I also write farming and food articles and produce short films, some of which are published on my website Indie Farmer, which I run with my wife Hannah Akehurst. Together we also run an 5-star rated Airbnb farm stay called "The Indie Farmer Shepherd's hut" based in a remote field surrounded by trees at Modern Barn Farm in Ninfield, where we live.
