Chris's Market Garden is a no-dig, no chemical, market garden on the north shore of Belfast Lough between Whitehead and Carrickfergus. Their goal is to produce the best ingredients possible whilst working with, not against, nature. Chris Dobbs started the market garden in 2021 with just a small flock of laying hens and his first vegetables harvest in 2021. Now five years later Chris produces nutrient rich, flavourful fruit, vegetables and produce for his local community, focusing on building soil health through no dig and no chemical methods. In season, he offers his locally grown veg through his veg box scheme, alongside eggs from his own flock of laying hens or from the laying hens at Chapel Lane Organic Hens.
